Abstract
Throughout the research methodology studying and questionnaire survey, the understanding of Value Management and concept of application Value Management in quantity surveyor services in Malaysia is getting clearer. In this project dissertation, the main purpose is to study how the concept of Value Management applied in construction industry and quantity surveyor's service; and the advantages and constraints of applying the Value Management. In the literature review is being studied out to gain the knowledge of Value Management approach as well as relationship between the Value Management and quantity surveyor's perception. It is crucial to understand the quantity surveyor's perception regarding to the Value Management. In this project dissertation, the questionnaire survey is being carried out to get more data for analysis. The questionnaire will find out the preference of the construction industry to apply Value Management in quantity surveyor's service for a project. Some of advantages and constraints of the application of Value Management also may be determined in the analysis of data. What is the different behavior between contractor's and consultant's quantity surveyors firm toward the value management services. For this survey, all the data collected will be presented in the form of tabulation, bar chart and pie chart in order to provide a clearly visualization and easy understanding on the result.
