Abstract
The housing projects that are abandoned are a source of concern to various parties involved such as the governments, and house buyers. The government has undertaken the responsibility to revive the projects by implementing ways and departments to reduce the numbers of abandoned projects. This research is concerning the problem and solution the related parties face in reviving the abandoned housing projects in Malaysia and has been carried out through literature review and questionnaire survey. It is aimed to resolve the problems caused by the abandoned housing projects by seeking and determining the feasible solutions in the revival. From the analysis of data gathered through 45 questionnaire survey sample from consultants, developer, MHLG and SPNB it is discovered that solution to be taken in solving the problem in reviving abandoned housing projects are enforce Section 11 of Housing Developers (Control and Licensing) Act, continues project monitoring, control over housing development account, government to act as mediator, and developer apply to revoke SPA if unable fulfill obligation. The recommendation proposed is expected to be able to identify the present approach in solving the problems in the project revival. Concisely this study has provide a better understanding on the problem faced in reviving the projects and what are the solution used by the parties to solve it.
