Abstract

This is a project about developing wireless food ordering system with touch screenconsole that will potentially use in the restaurant to improve the quality of service and customers' food ordering experience. The food ordering system will be divided in to two parts that will be a touch screen console incorporated with microcontroller and the Bluetooth and a Host computer with Cashier system. Microcontroller will process the order from touch panel and sent orders to host computer via Bluetooth device. For the Cashier system in the host computer, it will be designed and programmed by using Visual Basic 2008. As stated before, there will be two parts while I am responsible to the second part of the project, which will be design and program a cashier system. In this project, there are two main objectives to be achieved. Firstly, to design and develop a program that enable waiters to receive orders from customers and calculate the total bills while the second objective is to establish a wireless connection between the Cashier system and Micro C touchscreen console where customers can make their orders, enabling the data transmission.
