Abstract

The overall project is fabricating a hybrid supercapcitor with inkjet printing technology. A detailed comparison of the number of electrode layer and heat treatment temperature for the fabrication of supercapacitor were performed. Both the number of electrode layer and heat treatment were found to enhance the adhesion between the electrode and the aluminium foil however the capacitance remained unknown. The greater the heat treatment temperature eventually provides greater adhesion however the temperature must not exceed electrode melting point, 4500C. In the experiment the number of electrode layers was not well determined due to equipments and environment factors. The project involves basic equipments which are a printer, printer ink cartridge, aluminium foil, abrasion paper and hair dryer. The fabrication of hybrid supercapacitor involves 3 basic steps; printing, drying, heat treatment sintering. Electrode will be coated on the surface of aluminium foil through printing process followed by drying the electrode and lastly the electrode will be sintered.
