Abstract

This thesis has the purpose to show the investigation one of the vehicle front suspension system which is coil spring suspension. It is believe that the front suspension is moving faster when the vehicle moves at the high speed due to the vehicle movements it shows that the road surface are irregularity. Thus, this report will show the change of the parameters on coil spring which is one of the parts of the front suspension system. This thesis project will teach and familiarize students with vehicle suspension systems which are in use daily by millions of people, and their function to provide stability and comfort require a significant design process. Suspension systems are so widely applied, and an understanding of the support and the force that can applied to the suspension system. The design of the model is done by using Solidworks while the analysis work was performed by using ANSYS 13. Based on the graph and explanations, comparison between the different parameter of the coil spring. Then we can get a best perimeter design from this report.
