Abstract

The title of the project is " Design of ergonomic crutches". The process of designing a new moderm crutches was described. The main objective for this project is to reduce the cost of the crutch, improve the design of the crutch become more comfortable and design of the crutch become less discomfort and harsh forces on the hands. At the first step of this project, is describes the brief history of the crutches and the function of all type of crutches . Beside that, it is also describes about the syndrome disease caused by prolonged use of crutches. After research of the crutches is done, the next steps is to discuss the design of the new ergonomics crutches by using the Solidworks software. Besides that, the selection of material and manufacturing process will be introduced. After drawing out all the components of the new ergonomics crutches, assembled it using Solidworks and analysis the new design crutches. Lastly, fabricate the new crutches with the material selection. The objective achieved, limitation and future work have been discussed in the last chapter.
