Abstract

The title of this project is Design and Fabrication of a Folder Stair Climbing Hand Cart Using IS09000 QMS Design Methodology. The aim of this project is to design and fabricate a hand cart which can easily being used on the stair either moving up the stair or vice versa and able to lift load on the lifting platform up and down. ISO 9000 QMS Design Methodology is the methodology used in this project in the design and fabrication of the prototype. This methodology includes few stages in designing prototype, which included design input stage, design stage, design verification stage, design output stage, design review stage, design validation stage, and design changes stage. After fabrication, test was being carried out to ensure the prototype meet the requirements and can be function. Through the testing, author can conclude that the prototype has met the objectives of design and it able to meet all the testing criteria. This prototype has been design according to the ISO 9000 Design Methodology and author believe that this is a good method because it ensure that every procedure is been made correctly before moving to the next stage and hence avoid making big mistake. However, there are still some improvements can be done on the prototype but author has time constraint to modify the prototype. Hence, author has written down some recommendations that can be done on the prototype which acts as a reference in the future. Last but not least, author believes the overall project had been done well with the assists of project supervisor and project partner.
