Abstract

The aim of this project was to design and simulation the effect of position of heat source and cooling fan in Active Air Cooling System. In the investigation on Active Air Cooling System, SolidWorks computer software is used to design the computer with a set of detail hardware, Heat source and cooling fan. Then the SolidWorks Flow Simulation was used to do the flow simulation of the internal air flow inside the computer design.. SolidWorks Flow Simulation consists of the model of the design that is analyzed for the fluid or air flow through a model design. Flow Simulation may be used to help determine the design modifications to meet the requirements. In this project, flow simulation is used to do internal analysis to find out the optimal Active Air Cooling System. This project presents the modeling and simulation of the internal analysis of Computer using SolidWorks 2012. The major study analysis of the Flow Simulation is fluid flow through the modification of position of heat source and cooling fan. The results obtained are then discussed and recommendations are made to further improve the design.
