Abstract

The dengue disease becomes a serious issue in Malaysia as dengue cases and dengue-induced-death case are increasing every year. An interactive robot is developed in this project in order to monitor the condition of a dengue patient. This robot can be used in home or clinic. The robot is designed and developed to acquire the symptoms present on a patient. It will then deduce whether the patient has high chance or low chance of affecting dengue disease. The robot uses Raspberry Pi, 16 x 2 LCD display, 4 x 4 keypad membrane, microphone, and temperature sensor. The programming language used to program the Raspberry Pi is Python. All of the command is given by using voice command. The user can have a simple conversation with the robot and the robot will reply the patient with the answer that programmed in it. The reply from the Raspberry Pi will be displayed on the LCD display. Finally, the result will be recorded in the database for future use.
