Abstract

Nowadays there are many road accident happen and cause death incidents increase day by day. Most of the accident happened on highway during the festival season. Besides that, there are many reason which causes the accident rate increases for example recklessness of driver, blind spots or slippery areas, inexperience driver and so on. The objective of the project is to develop Speed Enforcement Management System which consist of two Arduino UNO Board for communicate while the Graphical User Interface (GUI) are designed by using Java Eclipse for system. The first Arduino UNO Board are known as speed transmitter which install on the vehicle. Function of this Arduino UNO board is to show the current speed of the vehicle and the limit speed of the current area. When the drivers over the limit speed, the buzzer will start to function with beeping sound to alert driver that he/she had over the limit speed at the current area and he/she had to slow down his/her vehicle speed before the summon is generate to the driver. If the driver had over the limit speed that had set at the current area, the Arduino UNO Board will transmit or send the car detail to another Arduino UNO Board at the road side and the summon will be generate. The car detail consist of car plate number and current speed in “km/h”. Additional Radio Frequency Module (RF Module) is needed for transmission or sending data from an Arduino UNO Board to another Arduino UNO Board. The second Arduino UNO Board will act as receiver which connects with the RF Module. The RF Module consist of two main PCBs which one of them functions as transmitter while another is functions as receiver and both of the PCBs just consume 5V. The second Arduino UNO Board is installed on the highway road side, while the power supply may intake current from the solar panel or electricity from the highway. The Arduino UNO Board will receive the data from the first Arduino UNO Board on the vehicle and update to the Speed Enforcement Management System. Speed Enforcement Management System GUI is created or designed by using Java Eclipse software. All the data that had been received from the second Arduino UNO will be updated to the system and the System will insert the vehicle data into a database. The data involved will be car plate number, speed, summon serial no and amount to be charged as penalty. Furthermore when summons are generated, the system will send an email of the information involved to the respective drivers or owner of the vehicle for their further action.
