Abstract

This report will look at my Final Year Project which title is Smart Garden in Binary LED Clock with Computer Controlled System. This project is useful for people who is busy with their life and always forget to water their plant. With this purpose in mind, I have done a project that will helps people to water their plant based on the plant’s requirement. There will be a soil moisture sensor to measure the moisture level of the soil of plant, when the moisture level less that certain threshold that was set, it will automatically water the plant. The sensor will keep track of the moisture level and act when it is necessary. I have set 4 level where first level is when the sensor is not in soil which means disconnected, it will prompt to user that the sensor is not connected. The second level is when the sensor detected the moisture condition is in water, it will prompt the condition to user. While third level is when the moisture level is too wet, the led will light on to indicate the situation. The last level is when the moisture sensor sensed dry in soil, it will first show to user and then control the motor to run and stop when the soil turns to humid. Furthermore, there is a Binary LED Clock that are connected with the Smart Garden to show user the condition of the garden thru LEDs. The clock will be presented in the binary form which means there is no digit to show user but the pattern in power of two. The time will be shown on LEDs in 2n format which means it is showing 1,2,4,8,16 and so on. This is to train the user’s brain to read and know the time easily in the morning.
