Abstract

Deterioration of building defect in TARC building, it is due to various different type of reason to result a building defect occur in all the building in TARC. For example, there is some factor to result the deterioration such as environmental effect, ageing of the building, poor workmanship, and poor material use during construction stage. This dissertation is to find out detail on many type of the defect in building of TARC building which consist of new building and old building comparison. After determine the type of defect, repairing method is going to determine to repair the existing defect. The purpose is identifying the defects and produce out the best repair method in order to prevent worsening of defects. Therefore, the buildings defects can be minimize and control under certain condition but it cannot totally excluded it. The only way is to do more corrective maintain on it, cooperate between the maintenance and students, maintenance management to set up effective policy, so that, to control the defect to the lowest rate
