Abstract
In worldwide, drivers are having problem with bad road surface condition, most often mention are potholes. The damage of potholes causes different kind of problem in different aspect, from individual to country. In this paper, I propose a concept of framework which is a centralized system to detects and assists driver to avoid the potholes. The potholes should have reported to related-authorities once it found to minimize the period of repairing. The main technology uses in this research project is LiDAR. LiDAR is a powerful laser based scanner allows to scan the 3D surface, most of the autonomous vehicles are relying on the technology. To develop a proper system, a microcontroller Arduino UNO used for centralize the data obtained and process them. The potholes detector combine GPS technology record the detected potholes and feedback to user. This project proposed to detection, avoidance and maintenance to potholes.
