Abstract

This research is to study the influence of the Internet towards the consuming behavior of young adults. Internet has rapidly growing from last time compare to now, everyone is able to access to the internet anywhere and everywhere with a smartphone or laptop, so it has become a part of our daily life. People has been using their electronic devices as a form of entertainment to gain information by surfing news website, social media and so on, online shopping is also a form of entertainment and people especially young adults will get addicted to it eventually and will slowly change their behavior towards some specific issue, for example consuming behavior, because online shopping has become a very popular trend among the teenagers and young adults. Consuming behavior refers to the buying habit of the consumers, like how, where, when and why people buy, use and get rid of products or services. The research has targeted 100 young adults in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College to conduct the online questionnaire survey to find out the factors that have caused the changes in their behavior when they purchase something. Online questionnaire survey is a type of quantitative research method to get numerical numbers from a huge sample group that may be converted into useable statistic such as behaviors and attitude. The result of the research has shown the positive that the Internet has changed the consuming behavior of the young adults from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Hence, the result has reached the objectives of the research which is to find out what are the influences of the internet and how are does the internet influence the consuming behavior of the young adults.
