Abstract

Since its establishment in 1923, Walt Disney company has developed around the world for 95 years. Walt Disney has made many famous animations, one of the famous animations created by Walt Disney company is Disney princess series animated films, it is very popular with children and parents. Parents like to show Disney movies to their children because they think it can use a creative animation to education their children. In the past, it was an effective way for education children not only to learn a foreign language for them, but also to instill some moral values in their mind. However, in this era of globalization, the effect of Disney princess series animation film has been transformed to children, and it has begun to bring some negative effects towards to children. Children become impractical and often indulge in their own fantasies of Disney princesses. In order to find the answers, the topic for this research which is Disney princess series animation film: A study of the impacts towards children and its rationale. In this study, a qualitative method was adopted and a questionnaire was conducted among 131 respondents. The final result shows that Disney princess series cartoons have brought negative effects on children.
