Abstract

Smart Home is a wide and innovative range of technology product that to satisfy all occupant and consumer needs and provide them a better living quality through collaboration of technology and service by network. However, it is pity that this technology still not very popular on the market even it had launched in Malaysia many years ago. Therefore, there are few essentials in this research thesis which about identify the function, characteristic, price comparison, barrier that facing by current market, solution to solve each current barrier, satisfaction rate, acceptation rate and any others information which are regarding about to introduce the SMART Home technology or understand the current market trend of SMART Home Technology. All of the above information will be refer to various type of sources not only literature review but also using the questionnaire survey research method to collect the opinion and responses from the targeted group of respondents. Not only that, there will be implement the Microsoft Excel and Google Form in analysis the responses and data which collected from the questionnaire survey. It is helpful to interpret not only the current market trend of SMART Home technology but also gather the consumer opinion toward this technology such as satisfaction rate, acceptation rate, barrier to implement this technology in their residential and commercial unit and any relevant opinion on this SMART Home Technology. In the last word, it is strongly believe that this research thesis which topic about “The perception of SMART Home Technology in residential and commercial property in Malaysia” is useful for the relevant merchant who are planning to expand their business or any consumers that who are trying to comprehend this SMART Home technology.
