Abstract

The objectives of this research study attempt to determine the moderating effect of project size in the causes-impacts relationship in construction project risk in Malaysia. The number of accidents among all construction sites and the level of awareness on concerning the matters to be identified. The main objectives of this research study were to identify the causes and impacts of construction project risk, to investigate the relationship between the causes and impacts of construction project risk and the moderating effect of project size in the causes-impacts relationship in construction industry. To complete this research objectives, a set of questionnaires were distributed to the professionals, observation among all incidences and using available information from previous authors who did a research on related studies were carried out. All information to be gathered and analyzed into a form of percentage and statistics by using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. This research study could help to improve the awareness on the effects of poor performance in terms of safety and health standards and some knowledge to reduce the causes and impacts of construction project risk in Malaysia.
