Abstract

TARoute project is designated to create a virtual community for students in the campus. This project consists of 4 main features. Firstly, there is an in-campus navigation feature for users to navigate to their desired destination with the suggested. User also get to know currently active events, or upcoming events inside the college by looking at the college maps, as well as promote their own event via this event feature of this application. For the trading feature, users can perform casual trading through this centralized platform, perform buying items or selling items on their wish. Lastly, users can also share their locations to other users as well as looking for their friends around the college via the friend finder feature of this project. This project was planned and developed by using incremental software process model, as this provide significant of flexibility for us to develop the project. Alpha test was conducted by our developers to make sure the outcome is similar to what to be expected. The final application output was known to be complete and functional. For future improvement, the system need to acquire better server for enhancing the overall speed for data uploads and retrievals.
