Abstract

The overall purpose of the project is to add a new module and to redesign the user interface as the new module is requested by client and the user interface of the current system is complicated and not user friendly. The scope of the project is to add Donation Management subsystem, which is able to manage donor information and donation record information. The subsystem provide user the function to add, edit, retrieve, delete and search for the information. Besides that, user interface is also a part of scope of the project as the user interface of the current system has to be improved to provide convenient, ease and user friendly to the user. The project carried out by using prototype methodology as the creation of protype model is based on the final product, so the client is able to evaluate and provide feedback toward to the protype model. Interview and document review are carried out as the technique to gather facts and Microsoft Visio is used as a tool to design the modeling diagram in the project. Then, the next stage is system design, which is to develop the system, user interface and database. So, the development of the Donation Management subsystem is carried out in this stage, along with the database and user interface. Testing stage is carried out after the final prototype has been revised according to the client’s feedback. Functionalities of the system are tested and produce an expected result with no error. In conclusion, the purpose of the project is achieved with the proposed system as client is able to use the Donation Management subsystem and the user interface has been improved significantly. Therefore, I have learned that it is important to follow the sequence or stage to develop a system in order to produce quality product in a short time.
