Abstract

Cluetective is an interactive mobile app which allows individuals and organizations to create customized treasure hunts, and treasure hunters (players) to participate in the treasure hunt in a unique way by utilising their smartphones. The treasure hunt creators can choose to have people participate in the treasure hunt as either individual players or in teams. Cluetective is suitable to be used by event organisations or any organisations (college, company, society/club, charity association and so on) wanting to hold a treasure hunt event. Cluetective is a tool that aids in the preparation of a treasure hunt session. All the missions and clues can be set up by just a few clicks on the smartphone. The organiser does not need to travel to the exact location to set up a station for the treasure hunt session. Cluetective even takes care of troublesome preparations such as maps and scores booklet. In addition,, there are a variety of interesting and challenging clues available in Cluetective, such as Question/Quiz, Scan QR Code, Image Matching, Image Guessing, Audio Guessing, Video Guessing, Fast Fingers, Math Challenge, Memory Test, Guess What I Am, Sudden Clue, and Find the Marshal.
