Abstract

Image processing has been a great demand in research for identification of many objects, this project will apply the image processing to recognize the iris pattern of every human. Throughout this project, smartphone camera with Android apps is used to capture image of human iris. The purpose of developing Android apps through Android studio is to help user to achieve a better quality of iris image for future recognization. To improve the accuracy of system, this project will used a modified approach to solve the existing problem with iris recognition which includes techniques of image localization, image segmentation, image normalization and feature extraction.
