In this new era, audiences are no longer a receiver but they start to demand what they want. The audiences are no longer the recipients that only receive the information giving out by media. The audiences start to fight for their right not only in their real life but also in the movie. Movies are always giving the audiences a fake imagination which men are always handsome and fit while women are always sexy, obedient to their husband and many more. This kind of bias had become a normal thing in the movie. With that, people are being confused and a fixed concept is being implied in the audiences’ mindset. Thus, to investigate the understanding of audiences towards the female representation in superhero films, this research is being conducted. This research with two main objectives which is to find out the understanding of audiences towards the representation of women in superhero films and also in a more specific way, to investigate the way of female been represented in Avengers: Endgame.
