Abstract

Development of a country is important for a country in order to keep growing especially to the second world country (developing country). Malaysia’s construction industry has existed with its conventional construction technology over the past decades until today. However, there are still rooms of improvement for construction technology to be upgraded in developing the country. For this reason, a study will be conducted mainly concentrate on the outcomes and sources that causes the problem in the way to improve the construction technologies. Besides, this research will outline the present situation of the industry and the outcomes will be highlighted through the survey forms. For instance, there will be comparison between the traditional and modern type of system formworks from head to toe. There will be relevant parties selected to participate in this research which hopefully the research is effective and applicable in terms of the results data. On the other hand, this research is targeted in helping the entire construction industry to voice out what are the real matters and issues that the construction practitioners currently facing with. It is strongly believe that somehow there is a transitions and gap between the implementer and the practitioners. Instead, both parties should be able to get in touch to each other to determine the best possible win-win situation of adopting the new construction technologies. Therefore, through the survey method (questionnaires) given to the professionals are able to show up why, how and what the professionals’ thought and perspectives towards the situation. Through this research, it can be treated as not just merely voice out to other party, for instance the government, but also can take it as an alert to the industry players but not limited to contractors, subcontractors, government department, professional bodies, consultants and etc.
