Abstract

Since Blockchain technology is becoming more popular in the world today, many technology professionals are posing it as the “New Internet” in the future. However, there are arguments that arise due to some uncertain factor of the Blockchain technology. Although the Internet has issues such as data security, privacy and more than that, the lack of knowledge towards Blockchain technology has become the largest challenge in the current age. Case studies are the research method that used in this research paper to find out the effect of Blockchain technology on the status of the Internet. So, the capability of the Blockchain technology is stated in this paper to evaluate the possibility of the Internet supplanted by Blockchain. At the same time, the issues and current status of the Internet has been pointed out for comparison. On the top of that, the results show the great performance of Blockchain technology brings much effect to the current status of the Internet.
