Abstract

In this modern era, social media played an important role in humans’ daily life. People spend time on social media to do a lot of things such as communicating with friends, share personal experience and etc. Young adults are considered as heavy user of social media, this is because they were influenced with social media as they grew up, they use social media more frequently than users from other generation, this had led to their high reliance on social media. In this research, it tends to study to what extend young adults depend on social media, and to understand how they spend their time on social media. The main idea of this research is to find out how does the high dependence on social media could affect humans’ memory. There are five chapters in this research and the dependence on social media and memory impairment occurs in humans’ brain would be discussed.
