Abstract
Noise is a concerned matter when it come to building. It affects the efficiency of the occupant from the very beginning. A building or structure with weak implementation of noise control will result in many impacts toward the occupant. Noise is not only the sound that disturbing, many experts had classified noise into different categories and each category had its own characteristic and remedies. Yet its impossible to totally cancelling the noise of typical building but effort must be done during the design stages. In this dissertation, a investigation of Block H classroom in TARUC will be conducted to review its effective of the structure such as wall and door on the matters of noise control. The main language of experiment to test the classroom is sound reduction index, a most common experiment to identify how much sound is reduced when it passed through a medium such as door and the partition wall in between of the two classrooms. Recommendation is made to further improve the noise control and acoustic effectiveness of the classroom
