Abstract

Construction work is considered to be one of the most hazardous industrial activities in the country which will effect on the economy growth to all country. To ensure the construction cost is within the budget, it is important to have control on cost performance of projects. Delay and cost overrun in construction project is become common in the industry. The length of project development phase from planning to construction seems to be a major factor in the extent of cost overrun. The longer the time disposes, the larger projects to be easier to cause cost overruns. The research will able to identify the factor of cost overrun that influence the total construction cost and identify which building element is cost significant. A set of questionnaire will be prepared to complete the research and data collection for the data analysis. There will be 15 contractor participate in the questionnaire.
