Abstract

In terms of implementing smart construction technology, the construction industry in Malaysia still lags behind other sectors. Despite the potential benefits of increased productivity and quality, this concept has not received much attention in the construction industry. The main purpose of this dissertation is to explore the type of smart technology for construction sites in Malaysia. At the same time, this dissertation also investigates the Malaysian construction industry of the readiness for smart construction technology and to determine the challenges to implementing the smart construction. A set of survey questionnaire is send to local construction companies to achieve the goal of this research. This research can improve the knowledge about the smart construction and encourage the implementation of smart construction.
