Abstract

Nowadays, the emerging of big data and cloud and all the information can be shared easily though the cloud. The data sharing through the cloud proved to be more efficient that the traditional method because the system have their own database and data is not centralized. The event organizer need to publish the event information into another platform in order to promote their event. The process takes time and sometime causing data inconsistency. Besides that, the current event registration system only focusing on event viewing and perform individual registration. To enhance the user experience making event registration, we decide to develop event registration system with some extra features. The organization we chose is Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC). In TAR UC, most of the students is using the conventional way to promote the event in the university college. The students also need to queue in order to perform event registration that take a long time. During attending the event, the event staff also need the participants to queue up in order to mark the participants’ attendance. In order to solve the problem, the main objective of developing this system is to allow the students to register and manage the registration of the event that organized in TAR UC more easily. This system will replace the conventional way or using some mobile applications to register event in TAR UC. This system will consists of four modules that include Event Dashboard, Event Registration, Event Application and Event Report modules. The software development model that we are using is scrum software development model. Scrum model is an incremental and iterative development model. If we cannot develop the system or the system do not meet the user requirements, we can make further modification and enhancement to the system in the next iteration.
