Abstract

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC), is a tertiary education in Malaysia setup in 1969 by the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA). It formerly known as TAR College. Transportation services TARUC are enough to support huge amount of student in the University College. Certain problem always by students, such as not enough place contain student, hang dangerous in public transport, and not enough parking space for students. This project come out to solve or reduce those problem. With the carpooling system, those problem can easily solve. Research and innovation has being implement into this project. The main function for sharing the student vehicle to other in a secure environment. This Car Pooling System separate into three team, the server side sub system will be carry on in this project. Implementation function for manage those resources, such as driver management, staff management, passenger management, reported issues management, and etcetera has been come out in this project. In the other hand, MQTT server implement on this project, which perform functionality cooperate or interact with the driver and passenger application. Development of the system is using the prototype methodology for ensure those functions meet user’s needs. MVC framework conduct in the project to bring benefits for future enhancement. Development tools used in this project are, Microsoft Visual Studio, Android Studio, Microsoft Azure, MSSQL and CloudMQTT. The project final testing done on 11 November 2017 at Tunku Abdul Rahman University. Whole Car Pooling System developer has been test together and demonstrate to advisor and supervisor to get feedback from them. The result for this project is the functionality proposed has been done, which have fully meet the requirement. Enhancement of user interface should be implement.
