Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to overcome and reduce burden for user whose bring along their valuable item to main campus. In partial fulfilment of the requirement for Bachelor of Information Technology, this project required to perform basic create, retrieve, update and delete function for different module. Project scope involving login module, user module, item module, overnight module, transfer module, delivery module. Methodology used along the process of this project is waterfall model. As the requirement of developing android application, Android Studio is being used for coding. Requirement analysis is determining the logic, algorithms, and documentation for project. Follow by system design is focus on the system layout, screen design and coding of the system. Next, implementation for various method and function in order to run the system. Finally, testing the different modules to ensure the logic is applied correctly. Some assessment criteria used such as completeness, test data, design quality, user interface, programming, presentation, degree of completion, on-the-spot coding, system implementation, content, language and style, punctuality. As the result shown including the system able perform basic create, retrieve, update and delete for data, photo storage function, QR function, notification function. Strength of the system is easy to use and less input for the users. Weakness of the system is layout not well enough design in terms of well-looking. In conclusion, the most basic requirement for running this system is cloud database. This project has chosen Firebase as backend due to most of the operation is perform under online environment. Many experience has been gained from this project such as storing picture to online storage, send notification to different user, algorithm used to perform basic function of create, retrieve, update and delete which working in real-time environment.
