Abstract

Green Design Concept are the concept that leads the world to become healthier and environmental friendly. Environmental problem has been a serious issue in today’s world. Various nations had already take action to reduce the environmental impact, the amount of certified green building is also keep increasing. However, the healthcare industry that aim to keep human health actually produce a lot of emission and cause environmental impact. This study explores about green hospitals in Malaysia. The objective of this research is to make a study about green rating system for green hospital, the importance of implementation of green hospital and the challenges of implementing the green hospital. This research is carry out by quantitative method. A set of survey questionnaire is send to the 95 facilitator from Green Building Index(GBI) Malaysia to achieve the goal of this research. This research can improve the knowledge about the green hospital and encourage the implementation of the green hospital in Malaysia.
