Abstract

The advanced of the technology help the industry growing rapidly in these era, the construction industry also has introduce some new technology. One of the technology are Building Information Modelling (BIM) has introduce in construction industry. BIM are refer of technology developments and processes that has transformed the way building is designed, analysed, constructed and managed. There is still have unclear impact of the BIM and the usage of the BIM in Malaysia are still low compare to other country. So the objective in this study are focus on identify the factor impact to the construction field, to analyse the BIM’s impact in term of Environment, social and economic and to evaluate the challenge of BIM bringing into Construction field in Malaysia. Through the research of the objective, the aim of the research have been carry out which on study on the impact of the BIM influence the construction industry. The data related to factor and consequences impact have been defined. The data has collected by using quantitative method and questionnaire survey, the 58 set of the questionnaire is obtain from the construction player in Malaysia by face to face hand out. Through the data collected, it able to identify the level of agree to the impact, factor of impact and the challenge to implement the BIM. The data collected will be analyses and the result will tabulated in table form and chart form. Lastly, the result obtain will be explain according to the objective and find out the conclusion of this research which is defined of the impact that influence to the construction field and action to be taken.
