Abstract

With those determine issues which constituted the needs to carry out Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) in TARUC, a quantitative research was carried out with the aim to analyze the satisfaction level on thermal comfort in educational building in order to increase the awareness of the campus administrator and other educators on the impact caused by the design of educational building. There are three objectives carried out in this survey, they are to investigate the concept of Post Occupancy Evaluation on thermal comfort in building CITC in KL Campus TARUC, to analyze the planned design concept that affects thermal performance in building CITC as well as to propose the suggestions and recommendations for improvement. The technique for data collection includes primary and secondary sources. Primary source which involve survey approach and problem-solving approach were allocated for second and third objective whereas secondary source refers to descriptive format to achieve first objective. Purposive sampling as one of the non-probabilities sampling has been selected as the respondents in this research has to fulfill the requirement of studying or working in TARUC main campus for minimum one year. By adopting questionnaire survey, the data was collected through quantitative method and analyzed by using descriptive method through frequency distribution and measurements of central tendency whereas open-ended question was being analyzed by using content analysis and presented in the form of tabulation and charts with the aids of Microsoft Words and Excel. The conclusion was made that the research had met all three objectives and contribution to society as well as recommendation for future study were also being listed out in the end chapter of this research.
