Abstract

This project is mainly emphasized on the TARUC students’ fitness problem. The purpose is to figure out the solutions and do enhancing of the interaction problem between students and the trainers. This project is part of previous collaboration project between Tunku Abdul Rahman College University and Connected HealthCare Company which consists of two parts which are Fitness Companion App and Fitness Companion Manager. Fitness Companion Mobile app is for students to use for track and managing their own data with connected fitness device. However the Fitness Companion Manager is a web application that allows fitness trainers to monitor students’ progress and can provide students with suitable workout and diet plan. The Fitness Companion Application is mainly design in graphical form which ease for students to read and also students are allow scan the food information by using barcode scanner. For the Fitness Companion Manager, it also is mainly design in graphical format so that trainers are easy to view students information and the management are allow to assign trainer to student and also maintain the food details and workout information. In conclusion, the Fitness Companion could support students in maintaining their healthy lifestyle and also enables better interaction between students and fitness trainers, which motivates students to be more active and helps to create a healthy society.
