Abstract

Stress is a common problem that has to face by every person. The job scope in this generation is already not as simple as the past. The people have to face work stress almost every day. The positive work stress will drive the employee to better work performance in the company and having a bring future. However, not all people can reverse the work stress into positive work stress. The objectives of the research are to identify the factors of the Quantity Surveyor under occupational stress, the phase of project or task handled that cause the highest occupational stress and ways to eliminate the occupational stress among Quantity Surveyors. The primary data collection and secondary data collection are required to carry out in the research. The literature review of the research was gathered through articles, journals and websites. The questionnaire survey was selected to carry as the primary data collection. The questionnaire survey was designed and email to 300 Quantity Surveyors who work in consultant and contractor firms in Malaysia. The data had been collected and analysed after received the response from the Quantity Surveyors. The data had been analysed by using Microsoft Excel.
