Abstract

The aim of this project is to identify the reasons and propose solutions to provide a satisfying wellness and retirement home service in Malaysia, then suggest a conceptualised property according to the research outcomes. Firstly, there will be an introduction about the research background, the reasons for which this theme was chosen. Problem statement and research objectives will be defined before beginning the research which allows us to ensure the final purpose of the research. Then, we choose a scope and limitations for the respondents in order to filter the questionnaire survey’s replies and to better classify the answers according to the category predefined. Significance of study, which covers the people or organisms who can benefit from the research outcome directly and indirectly will be discussed. Research method will be overviewed before the detailed research methodology. Afterwards, the results gained from literature review will be summarized and presented in chapter 2. Important topics such as concept of retirement home, facilities and services provided by retirement home and senior citizens’ population’s thought were studied through lecture of different research carried out earlier and books. Finally, the research methodology was suggested and presented in detail. Research process will be described, and data collection techniques will be suggested to ensure the assumption of population’s opinion. Questionnaire survey’s design and structure are studied before implying the public’s version. Data analysis techniques are chosen to better understand the significance of each reply to the questions.
