Abstract

Parking lots area a fundamental part of urban life, most of the people needs parking lots to accomplish daily task unless you are not owning a car (Greentumble,2016). Parking management system from each organization could be critical. Business that delivered good parking experience which could indirectly beneficial to the business since car owner would not suffer with parking problem. Most of the current parking system from business in Malaysia still have a lot of manual process which could bring the issue to customer like parking ticket may lost, hardly to find a parking slot or forget the location. In this project will use image processing to eliminate these current parking system problems and camera will use frequently as all the information and data is captured by the camera. The camera could be used for car tracking, license plate recognition, car owner face recognition and suspicious car activity detection. This system focuses on the narrow parking environment like the metro parking area. Also, this system will build the mobile application to support both the customer and the staff side from convert the offline feature to online like check location, view available parking, view past parking history, customer support and notification. This system is aim to bring a smooth parking experience to the customer by using the camera sensor.
