Abstract
The aim of this study was investigated the effect of six weeks plyometric training on cardiovascular fitness, core stability and and body composition among untrained individuals.Untrained individuals were randomly assigned intact to the experimental group (n=12) and the other was the control group (n=12) by using systematic counterbalancing method. The experiment group underwent the six weeks plyometric training intervention program. After six weeks, post-test data was collected. Inferential statistics indicated that there was a significant difference (p < 0.05) between pre and post measured of harvard step test of cardiovascular fitness (p=0.007) on the experimental group, significant difference (p< 0.05) between pre and post-test measured of bunkie test for core stability (p=0.007) and no significant different (p>0.05) in body composition which was fat free mass(p=0.985),body fat percentage (p=0.101 ) and body fat mass (p=0.068). The results indicate that six week plyometric training program was effective on cardiovascular fitness and core stability among untrained individuals but not body composition.
