Abstract

Nowadays, nutrition was one of the important thing which can help to improve performance and also reduce injuries. The purpose of this study was to examine the knowledge, attitude and practice towards nutrition among college athletes. To date, there are less studies that focuses on the relationship between knowledge, attitude and practice towards nutrition among college athletes in Malaysia.Participants n = 159 (Aged between 13 to 28 years) consisted on 89 males and 70 females that volunteered for the study. Participants completed an inventory which was the Adapted Knowledge, Attitude and Practice towards Nutrition Questionnaire. A correlation survey design was employed to obtain the data needed. Correlation analyses revealed that knowledge and attitude were shown positive correlation between each other. But there were no association between knowledge and practice and practice and attitude as well. The nutrition plays a very important role to help athletes to improve their sort performance.
