Abstract

With the advent of technology, new media became the enormous effect on the audience such as influence the behaviours of people when they can expose to any social media platforms they like. The social media platforms not only allow people communicate and interact with others but also provide entertainment activities such as violent video games. One of the purposes of this study is to understanding the trend of violent video games in this digital era. Then, the author will look into how the violent video games influence the behaviour of young people. Meanwhile, the relationship between the violent video games and young people behaviour will be a concentration topic in this paper. Besides, the methodology method of this study using online survey on social media platforms as requiring violent video game users or violent video game users who stopped playing in Malaysia. The findings revealed that the male is exposed to the violent video games more than the female and they tend to spend more times on the games. Other than that, the study behaviour, gaming behaviour, aggressive behaviour and feelings or thoughts of young people can be influenced by the violent video games. Therefore, there is relationship between the violent video games and young people behaviours such as aggressive behaviour, gaming behaviour and study behaviour will be revealed in this study.
