Abstract

The main agenda of this dissertation is to explore the possibilities of combining passive balancing with active balancing to create a robust balancing system can be deployed in sensitive area. Five different experiment was carried out to give a clear view on the criticality of a battery management system. The experiment carried out can be divided into 3 categories, experiments without any battery balancing system, with just either active or passive balancing and combination of passive and active balancing. The outcome of the experiment greatly endorses the crucialness of a balancing system to micro energy storage.
