Abstract

Nowadays, indoor navigation has attracted people's attention. To develop indoor navigation, many technologies have been used. Indoor navigation is far less than outdoor navigation. For outdoor navigation, we have GPS to guide and indicate the desired location. Unfortunately, it is limited to outdoor use. A review of the literature of the proposal shows that there are multiple technologies suitable for the development of indoor positioning systems, including markers, ultrasound, Wi-Fi, ultra-wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth, all of which are evaluated based on their complexity of implementation, accuracy, power requirements, cost, advantages, and disadvantages. Therefore, the main goal of the project is to develop an interactive indoor navigation system, and augmented reality technology is being used to superimpose direction signs. In this project, laptops and smartphones will be used to write code and run applications created on Android Studio software and ARCore software. The project chose augmented reality technology because it can meet the project‟s goal of creating an IPS that requires low power consumption and low cost.
