Abstract
In order to reduce the accidents occurred in the Malaysia construction industry. Which accidents happen in the construction sector is the highest cases compare to nine sectors (manufacturing, mining and quarrying, agriculture, forestry and logging, utility, transportation and storage, wholesale and retail, hotel and restaurants, finance and insurance, as well as public services and statutory bodies). The main reason of causing accidents is due to worker’s negligence, poor site management, working at high, etc. Recently, technology has improved, the drone has one of the affordable tools to reduce the accidents happen in the construction site. Thus, this research aims to investigate the advantages and barriers of using of drone in health and safety management. In this research, for the primary data collection is quantitative which is questionnaire survey through online. For the data collected were analysis with descriptive analysis and test for difference (e.g., ANOVA). In this research findings revealed the advantages and the barriers are remained neutral on the using of drone in health and safety. In the ANOVA results showed that there is significant different with barriers and company age, company size and company main business scale. In This research has provided the knowledge to the construction company and health and safety officer which can to increase of using of drone in health and safety management in order to reduce the accidents rate in construction industry. The advantages and barriers of using of drone in health and safety management are remained neutral need to be found out in order to using of drone in health and safety management.
