Abstract
The construction industry in Malaysia is extremely challenging and requires good construction management, including productivity management, to avoid many project delays. Proper management of resources in a construction project can save a lot of time and cost. Since the construction industry is a labor-intensive industry, this article focuses on the productivity of the construction industry. This study considered the reasons for the delays in commercial construction projects. In order to solve the above problems, it covers the definition of construction productivity, the factors that affect it, and the strategies of the Malaysian construction industry to improve construction productivity.
