Abstract
Medium and low-cost housing is one of the important affordable housing for all citizens, especially low- and middle-income groups. The main purpose of this article is to measure and compare the awareness and satisfaction of the citizens of two different low- and medium-cost housing in Malaysia on housing affordability issues. It is very important to understand the satisfaction of residents and improve the existing performance. First of all, the literature review provides the theoretical background for this research, which helps to strengthen and consolidate the establishment of the knowledge base. Then, a research method is proposed and the method of data collection is described. Using the method of questionnaire survey, collect data on low and medium-priced housing groups. Data analysis uses SPSS software, cross-tabulation, independence chi-square test and independent sample t-test. At the end of this chapter, the satisfaction theory is explained and the understanding is applied to the research results. This finding was used to formulate a series of recommendations that will help improve low and medium-cost housing in the context of urban development in Malaysia
