Abstract

In Malaysia, energy efficiency of Green Building is able to lead the world to a more sustainable environment. It is the main key element where creates the most minimal impact on the environment. Nowadays, the world is facing a crisis as the environment are seriously polluted by developments, bad practices and many other factors. Building development creates a big impact on the environment as the development will destroy a green land in order to produce development on the particular area. Therefore, green building material can be widely used throughout the world these days to reduce the impact of developments to the environment. Therefore, this research aims to explore the Energy Efficiency Practices for Occupants of Green Building in Klang Valley construction industry especially in Klang Valley. This research objectives are focuses on the study of the benefits of energy efficiency in green building to obtain sustainability and explore the methods to apply efficient energy usage in green building and also identify the obstacles in achieving energy efficiency in green building. In order to achieve the objectives of this research, questionnaire surveys was conducted for the primary data collection. This research will increase the awareness and improve the knowledge of green building material of the people. This research might help to encourage more construction firms to apply the element of green building material in the future development.
