Abstract

The outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic has caused a significant impact toward the global economy and industries. Hence, the aim of this research is to identify the major issues and challenges faced by the Malaysian contractors due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, the questionnaires were used to collect data for further analysis thus achieve the research objectives. Meanwhile, this research shall enable to figure out the issues faced by Malaysian contractors before outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, challenges faced by Malaysian contractors due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic as well as perception of Malaysian contractors on the measures taken Malaysian Government for the construction industry. Therefore, this research shall provide us a clearer understanding towards the difficulties faced by Malaysian contractor before and after the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, this research shall be able to gather the perceptions of Malaysian contractors on the measures taken by Malaysian Government for the construction industry. In short, this research is to gather the perceptions of Malaysian contractors regarding to the issues and challenges faced by them due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic.
