Abstract

According to abandoned housing projects by state statistics from January to September 2019, there are total 84 numbers of projects with 20,261 number of units being abandoned in Peninsular state of Malaysia. Based on the statistics, it shows that Selangor has the most numbers of abandoned housing projects which is 36 with 12,476 numbers of units(KPKT, 2019). Therefore, this study is concerned about the causes associated with the housing project and effectiveness of strategies toward reduction of abandoned housing projects on Selangor area and a literature review is carried out. The private developers which are involved in constructing housing project in Selangor area has been chosen to carry out questionnaire survey because the research is aim to collect the information and their views on the problems. In consequence with the data collected from the questionnaire survey, the descriptive analysis, independent t-test and one-way ANOVA test will be carried out to generate the data from questionnaire survey.
