Abstract

In Malaysian construction industry, death and injury occurrences are increasing year-by-year. Thus, safety and health is undoubtedly one of the most vital aspects and issues that should be focused and discussed as it plays an important role towards nation development. This research is to study the type of accidents occurs among workers in the construction industry, factors that cause death and injury in the construction industry as well as significant methods to avoid death and injury occurrences in the construction industry. A total of 50 sets of questionnaire are distributed to all the personnel in the construction site such as site manager, developer, construction manager, contractor and so on. Throughout this research, decision and policy maker and other related organisation can use the information from this research to enhance and polish the current existing policies and programme, especially avoiding the death and injury occurrences at the construction site. Last but not least, the data collected will be analysed by using SPSS software which is frequency analysis, mean and standard deviation analysis.
